Most podcast players (such as Apple Podcast, Spotify and Google Podcasts) download your podcast from our servers when one of your followers indicates they want to listen to an episode. This is a download. If 1,000 people want to listen to your episode, you will have 1,000 downloads.
A user is someone who can log into Springcast with their own login details on the account. If you are co-hosting the podcast with someone, you will probably need 2 users. You could also (in the beginning) share a login... 🙊.
